It’s Love At First Bite! Red Velvet Pancakes Are Back At IHOP In Time For Valentine’s Day!

The Perfect Valentine’s Day Breakfast—Any Time of the Day

(Glendale, CA; Feb. 12, 2013)  It was a love affair too strong not to live on, a craving that would not be denied — and now, just in time for Valentine’s Day, IHOP® has brought back one of its most requested signature offerings, Red Velvet Pancakes.

Red Velvet Pancakes were introduced as one of the brand’s signature pancakes featured for a limited time during the summer of 2012, and they quickly amassed a legion of passionate fans.  When they left the menu in September to make room for other signature pancake offerings, guests still craving the delicious combination of rich chocolate and savory cream cheese icing made their feelings known through postings on Facebook® and other social media sites.

“IHOP is known for bringing guests ‘Everything you love about breakfast’,” replied Natalia Franco, Senior Vice President, Marketing, International House of Pancakes, LLC.  “So we’re happy to help make this Valentine’s Day special by bringing back one of our most requested items for pancake lovers and lovers everywhere to enjoy. It’s the perfect way to start your Valentine’s Day—and a great way to celebrate all day long!”

Red Velvet Pancakes, along with Banana Caramel Pancakes, are once again available for a limited time, now through April 14, 2013 at participating restaurants.
