"In August, 2005, my community in Biloxi, Mississippi was erased by hurricane Katrina. There were very few places to shop and eat (not to mention few places to live). We were so tired of the insanity and wanted something normal back in our lives. The first “normal” I had was when the IHOP on highway 49 in Gulfport opened back up. We had real food, at a real table. It was only a small thing in the big picture, but it meant more than anyone knows. A small step back to a new life."
