Social Media Usage Terms & Conditions

Just like in our restaurants, our website is an opportunity for our guests to share with one another — from photos to comments to videos. But before you can participate, we ask you if you’re at least 13 years of age because IHOP.com complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which prohibits collecting personal information from anyone under the age of 13. You can learn more about COPPA here.

Please take note that when you post a text based message, photo, video or comment to IHOP brand pages on Facebook, Twitter, Google + and Pinterest — or tag your content posts using #breakfastlove, on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube and when tagging social posts with #postmyIHOPpics and #sharemyIHOPlove on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Pinterest — you are giving IHOP permission to feature this content on IHOP.com. In the Future, other campaign and promotional (#) hashtags could lead to temporary or long-term usage and appear on IHOP.com and other social brand pages. As well, please take note that when uploading a social post via IHOP.com's Social Experience, and when you check the “Terms & Conditions” box, that your posts could be selected to be shared temporary or long term on the IHOP.com site and other social brand pages. This permission grants IHOP.com a non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free license to post your content on this site. We will not share your personal information, full screen name or other easily identifiable information to protect your privacy. Your voices will be shared with other customers and users. Thank you for sharing your voice.

It's also important to note that not all submissions or posts conducted via IHOP.com's social posting, or though an individual user profile guarantees that we will highlight it on the IHOP.com site or in any particular section of the site. Some posts will not be used due to profanity and rejected due to language, which denigrates or discriminates against specific individuals or specific segments of the population. We reserve the right to remove or reject posts at any time.

If you’ve posted on an IHOP social property and would like to opt-out of having your post content published on IHOP.com, please send an email to SocialOptOut@IHOP.com.
